Our Father's trip to India
fiction
edward w Pritchard
Our Father always had a good job, good wife, and good children and good luck, so we were surprised when one day he put his hands in his coat pockets and was unable to take them out again without assistance.
Many doctors, and then psychologists were called and visited but Father continued to put his hands in his pockets and was then immobilized, calmly frozen.
Finally, in desperation, my Brother took Dad to India to see a holy man. The Guru studied the situation and then lined the pockets of the coat with thorns and the situation solved itself.
