baseball playoffs continue; Detroit tigers vs. Oakland athletics
fiction

Well I see the St Louis Cardinals won their playoff game last night. I had said the last serious trouble in St Louis was in 1877 and was labor disputes leading to rioting by working men. Apparently I forgot about the 1917 racial rioting in East St Louis. Several hundred people were killed.
Tonight Detroit Tigers play the Oakland A's. Of course both those teams cities had race riots in 1967. Those were bad times, 1967 in the inner Cities.
Hopefully tonight Detroit and Oakland can play a good game and not have an incident of bench clearing again occurring at the pitchers mound.
Many residents of Detroit and Oakland have very hard lives in these tough economic times. Hopefully the players on the Tigers and A's can resist the urge to have a bunch of millionaires start a shoving match with each other.
May the best team win and let the losers take the loss like Men.
