It was a dark and rainy night. I was proceeding Southward On route 43 when I saw the defendant Mr. Gable walking to the North on the East side of the road near Johnny's Motel carrying a small black valise. Something about the Defendants demeanor alarmed me so I stopped him for questioning.

Subject claimed to be a reporter for an out of town newspaper. Subject was aggressive in his speech and know it all-ish and very confident of his opinions.  In time I asked to search his bag which he consented to. The bag contained one pair of silk mens pajamas, an expensive silk robe and a white blanket with subtle stripes and 10 feet of nylon rope.

Defendant when pressed explained he was looking for a former girlfriend. Rope and blanket were to be involved in some sort of pre-planned sex ritual at a cheap hotel. I arrested suspect on planning to strip to the waist in a hotel room, involve an innocent woman with a rope, and  dressing a woman in men's clothes.

It was a dark and rainy night. The sound of traffic could be heard far of on the highway. Trucks whined as they strained to crest Woods Hill. At the motel the defendant hoped to rent the last room until morning. An innocent woman paced the small motel room nervously unsure of the man's intentions or her own feelings.
