baseball playoffs-St Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburg Pirates/ and political correctness

One doesn't hear much protest against the Pittsburg Pirate's mascot. Pirates as a group do not have as much clout as the American Indians who sometimes protest a bit against the Cleveland Indians mascot.

The St Louis Cardinals never have any outcry against the mascot of the Cardinal. The last outcry in St. Louis that I am aware of was the 1877 working class riots. Have's vs Have not's. Guess who won.

Still in the St Louis Riots of 1877 the advent of the eight hour work day in America and anti-child labor laws were nurtured along by the efforts of protesters in St Louis Mo.

Who will win the baseball playoff game tonight between St Louis and Pittsburg? Watch to find out. While you are passing time in those long relief pitcher changes read about US Steel, Mr. Frick and the 1892 Homestead steel strike. If the game drags on into extra innings look online and see what Marcus Garvey had to say about the 1877 St Louis working class riots.

Enjoy the game; baseball is a game for intellectuals.
