The Wheel of Life rolled by and is now parked on my back

When I was a student and others caroused, I played the ascetic

When others played householder, building wealth and planning and squirreling way for later, I was a student acquiring arcane knowledge rather than silver

So now when old, while others pursue wisdom, or at least play bingo for distraction, i work alone as a householder and try to catch up and pile silver for tomorrow
