Budget cuts and tax payer revolt has the public sector looking for a new paradigm to operate under.

Let's not run the public sector like the private. Heartlessness, no soul and no conscious is no way to operate. Many people need extra help and consideration; that's one of the reason for the public sector in the first place. Let's not abandon our ideals in the name of efficiency. Everyone needs government intervention in their lives at some time. Even the tax tea party people and the self made want and need Medicare when they are elderly and someone to patrol the seas around our borders.

Many businesses that operate successfully and make good profits do so by having no heart, no soul and no conscious. The only thing a corporation cares about is money and its own perpetuation. Business accuses government of inefficiency because Government does the things that business doesn't want to do or won't do.

As for a criticism of the government sector:- stop lying,- cut the finger pointing,- and make every public sector job last only five years. No career Government employees. Ancient Greece developed the model; work in the Government sector a while and then return to private life. This goes for politicians, teachers, firemen and career bureaucrats.
