the American chakra

the American chakra

fiction
Edward w Pritchard

Located in the hands, the American chakra's symbol is a $ sometimes in the middle of a  gold bar. Color is gold [or silver] . Smell is unguent but may become foul.

The will to grasp precedes arms and hands. Original urge is security and warmth, ancient urge to nest, to engulf oneself in piles of leaves for protection. Once that basic need is mastered acquisition matures to storing of items and eventually to hiding of valuables. Related is the desire to live on after physical deterioration and destruction, hence gold which cannot be destroyed.

Counter energy is hands pushing away as if enough or no more. Asceticism or voluntary denial may become pathetic if observed too openly. Also suspect is desire to please by giving.

Flower for American chakra would be an extravagant bouquet of vanishing multicolored rare, endangered orchids that must be kept in a hot house. Each day new beauties must be added.

Balance is sharing as in hands pulling, hands pushing way as appropriate. Each according to their needs. Union or reunion resulting in temporary balance is difficult.
